Early Years Charter
Our Lady of Grace Early Years Learning offers a developmentally appropriate Catholic environment that fosters the holistic development of the child in a safe, inviting and engaging setting.
We believe that quality collaborative relationships between our Parish, school families, staff and the wider community will empower the child to further develop their own identity, voice and wonder about God.
Learning in the early years occurs through play and building on the strengths and interests of the child. We commit to a play based pedagogy balanced with intentional, explicit teaching.
The Principles of Belonging, Being and Becoming and the Five Teacher Practices provide the basis for our quality learning programs.
We believe in developing and supporting agency through a balance of teacher and child led learning, the fostering of independence, confidence, connection to self, others, the natural environment and appreciation of diversity.
