Good St. Anne, you were especially favoured by God to be the mother of the most holy Mary, the Mother of our Savior. By your power with your most pure daughter and with her divine Son, kindly obtain for us the grace and the favour we now seek. Please secure for us also forgiveness of our past sins, the strength to perform faithfully our daily duties and the help we need to persevere in the love of Jesus and Mary. Amen.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - Please read
There are an increasing number of online orders that are not being captured due to parents not confirming their orders. Once you have placed an order please check your confirmation email or your "active orders" section to ensure your order has been placed, as we are getting numerous children at canteen quite upset that they haven't received their lunches.
Due to an overwhelming demand for the new Juice Bombs, stocks nationally are limited.
If the flavour you ordered is not available, we will substitute with a similar drink. Thank you for your understanding.
This week’s assembly will be presented by students of 6G. Parents of 6G children are invited to the staff room after the assembly for a cuppa with Mrs Jacquie Hardwicke. Congratulations to the students who received merit awards at the last assembly.

Hi our school banking was over by $10 on Monday 24th July. We suspect that we have forgotten to take a deposit slip from a bank book and would ask that you have a quick look for us. Please give Dale a call on 0415522160 if it is your slip we missed.
On a different note .... we have many extra rewards that we would like to give away so from next Monday everyone who banks will be given a turn on the chocolate wheel and will be eligible to win and choose a prize. We hope to see many of you on Monday morning. Dale and Michie

Book Week: Children's Book Week is being held in Week 6, 21-25 August. The theme for this year is "Escape to everywhere". A book fair will operate on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning. You are invited to visit the library where books will be on display from two booksellers; this is your bi-annual opportunity, if you wish, to donate a book to the library. In the past, parents have been very generous and the school is hopeful that this year many books will again be donated - these are acknowledged with a donation slip.
A "dress as your favourite fiction book character" parade will take place on Monday 21st August. We are celebrating the fun, joy and wonder of BOOKS - not film, television, comic strips (no superheroes!) or computer games! - so allow your imagination free rein and think of a STORY BOOK CHARACTER!
Children should have read and know the story of their character and carry the book or wear a label/sign to let everyone know who they are.
(Today's "Inside Cover" in The West Australian reminds us what dressing up as a book character for book week is all about!)

OLG Run for Fun returns Term 3 “OLG Run for Fun” is back again in full swing. It is a free before school running club for kids and their families. No matter what age or fitness level, all are welcome to join.
The Running Club is run by volunteer parents each Tuesday and Thursday morning during school terms. It includes some warm up activities and games and there will be a couple of running courses, of different lengths, around Charles Riley Reserve to suit different ages and fitness levels; and maybe later this term, heading to North Beach Primary and around Star Swamp. Last term we had 70 young people sign up, and on any given morning, we had up to 35 kids and several parents run. What a great way to start the day!
As the Running Club is run by parents, students in Year 3 or below must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to ensure adequate supervision. A once-off permission slip will need to be completed before your child can participate and these are available at the sessions.
Days: Every Tuesday and Thursday morning during the term, rain & shine. Start time: 7.40am to 8.15am (volunteer parents will join in & then walk kids to school) Where: Meet at the south east corner of the football clubrooms at Charles Riley Reserve What to Where: Permission has been given to wear sports uniform for the day What to bring: Drink bottle, sneakers and energy. Eat breakfast at home first or bring something to eat at school after the run. Cost: Free PLEASE add the OLG Run for Fun box in FlexiBuzz/Tiqbiz for updates More Info: Contact Damian Hicks on 0419 930087 or email email@example.com OR Denise Bendotti on 0415 765677 or email firstname.lastname@example.org Volunteers: Bendotti, Nelson, Wheeler, Burns and Hicks families. More parent volunteers required, please come along, we would love you to be involved.
The body achieves what the mind believes. We all know running is a great way to get fit, but it offers so much more. Kids who exercise in the morning are generally more engaged and focussed during lesson time. Running clubs enable kids to build friendships and have fun. Running builds healthy hearts and minds and brings joy to children and adults. Please see attached articles which outline the benefits and success of regular exercise at school. Click HERE and HERE.

Ursula Frayne Catholic College has recently commenced a new Alumni and as our school is both young and old at the same time we believe that many former students and staff would be located all over the state. Our foundation school (St Joachim’s) commenced 118 years ago and in 1990 amalgamated with Xavier College to form what is now Ursula Frayne Catholic College. It would be very much appreciated if you would be able to publish the below message in your school newsletter for a couple of weeks in the hope that we can reconnect with a large number of former students and staff before our impending 120 year celebrations.
Are YOU a Former Student or Staff Member? Are you a former student or staff of St Joachim’s, Xavier College, Our Lady Help of Christians, Our Lady of Mercy or Ursula Frayne Catholic College? We are looking for you to join the newly formed Alumni. Let us help you reconnect with your old school and friends. Go to our website www.ursulafrayne.wa.edu.au and complete the registration form (under Community) or contact Mary McGonigle on 9470 0925 or email@example.com to have a form sent to you. In 2019, we celebrate 120 years since our foundation school was opened and we would like to have as many former students and staff join us in celebration.
